How it works

ScamSpotter compares your message against red-flag patterns used by real scams: fake urgency, prize/lottery bait, impersonation of banks or delivery firms, password phishing, suspicious links, payment pressure (gift cards, crypto, wire transfer), too-good-to-be-true money claims, and threats or secrecy. Each match adds weight to a 0–100 risk score and is shown with a plain-English explanation, so you can see why it was flagged.

A clean result does not prove a message is safe β€” scammers constantly invent new wording. If anything feels off, verify through the official app or a number you type yourself.
